On Friday I called the principal of the school in Mountainview,
just to make sure all was in order, and she said that plans had
changed and I should not come until noon on Saturday! I have
to admit that I was overwhelmed as all the items had been gone through and organized, food purchased, people in place…
it was disheartening! We had been praying all along for the
outreaches and especially this special one.
I called my Pastor Chad Naaktgeboren and he told me to pray
about what GOD would have me do. I prayed and after
several hours I made the decision that if I was the only one to go,
those kids really needed blankets, and I would go!
So five of us were slated to go. On Saturday morning I picked
up 120 buns for the hotdogs and went home to rest before the
outreach. As I was resting, one of the five called me and said
that she was really sick and could not go! Now more determined
and convinced that GOD wanted us to continue with the project,
now there were four!
JESUS said, "Let the little children come unto ME." |

Feed MY sheep! |
Last but not least...blankets, socks and shoes! |
The lesson I learned is that I need to trust
GOD for everything
and not ever think that I know what HE wants done. HE had that Dream Team picked long
before. Almost 70 children
received teaching on how JESUS said, “Let the little children come unto
me". They received lots of love
and fun with worship and food and warm blankets, socks and even went home with
JESUS back sacks that
they colored. It was quite a day and I learned so
much. We were all blessed!
