About Jan Pane

Jan Pane—An Ordinary Woman
Jan, a mother of three and grandmother of five, calls herself “an ordinary woman with an extraordinary God.” At age fourteen on a trip to Colombia, Jan got her first glimpse of third world hunger, sickness and poverty, and it had a lasting effect on her life.  Of even greater impact was Jan’s decision in 1974 to commit her life to Christ.

God’s Promptings
Throughout the years Jan was pursuing a career and raising her sons, God continued to speak to her heart about the needs around the globe, especially on the continent of Africa.

First Stop Hungary
After several short-term mission trips, Jan felt called to Hungary in 2004.  During her years in Hungary, she worked with refugees, many of whom were African.  It was no surprise to Jan that God called her to leave Hungary and go to South Africa in 2007.

South Africa
Since February 2007, Jan has been working with children, orphans, needy families and a Calvary Chapel Johannesburg church plant.  God has given Jan a special heart for orphans and vulnerable village children, and her work has become increasingly focused on these areas of need.  Not only is she working among these people so precious to God, she is working to inform, inspire and mobilize the Body of Christ to help with their needs.
