Johannesburg Newsletter, Number 42, May 14, 2013

Dear Family and Friends,

It has been a great pleasure to serve in South Africa for the last 6 years. I find myself back in America, for now, seeking the  LORD’S will on the mission to South Africa.

On the way to getting a healthy meal

We are praying and sharing

Accepting JESUS as their LORD and SAVIOUR

The majority of my time there was spent moving  forward on the vision of an “orphan village” in Mountainview area, where there are 500-600 orphans.  This is a small amount of orphans compared to the 3.87 million in South Africa.

Believing that there are NO coincidences and that GOD is in control, I know that HE has a great plan for the children.  Please pray with me for HIS perfect plan to come to fruition and that each child will have the knowledge of HIS love and plan for their young lives.  Please pray that they may be safe and taken care of.  Also pray that the government will do more for these young children.

I would love to hear from you.  Right now I am planning to stay in Santa Rosa, close to my family, until I know the LORD’S plan for me. Feel free to email me at: janpane@gmail.com.

I covet your prayers during this time.  If you would like to continue to support me while I am seeking HIS will, you may send it to Go!Ministries.

Blessings and love,
Jan Pane

Please pray for:
·      LORD to bring HIS laborers to Mountainview, including an indigenous Pastor
·      GOD’S plans for Mountainview to come to fruition
·      Counsellor to be guided by GOD
·      For me to keep my eyes on JESUS and my heart teachable.

Johannesburg Newsletter 41, January 28, 2013

            Dear Family and Friends,

In South Africa the new school year starts in January.  Last year I was given a donation for uniforms for the neediest children at Sibekiwe Primary School. The teachers put together lists and it totaled 93 children. I went to several stores seeking pricing and discounts and worked out that I would be able to purchase about 45 uniforms!  BUT, answers to prayers gave me a distributor that could supply the shirts, jerseys, socks, trousers for boys and tunics for girls at a great price.  Another answer to prayer gave me a distributor for the shoes completing  all 93 uniforms!

The children were excited to receive their new uniforms and I was told that some of the Mamas thought that they were expected to pay for them and when they realized that they were a gift,  they were overwhelmingly thankful.

Along with their new uniform, the children each received a scripture that was personally chosen for them.  May they cherish them now and in remember them in the future. The children were happy as we thanked GOD together.  At close look at the old uniforms they were wearing you can see holes and tears…toes poking out of the shoes and kids without shoes or socks.  Praying that these children will know that they are loved and cared and provided for by our  LORD JESUS.

It has been a difficult couple of months here in SA for me.  In November I became very ill with a deep cough.  After several Drs. visits, lots of different medicines and even a chest Xray, I still was not getting any better.  Then one night a missionary couple came for a visit and told me that my apartment had a big mold problem and I should not stay there.  That was 7 weeks ago and I have been staying with a friend from that time and getting stronger and breathing better. Meanwhile my infamous 21 year old car is letting me know she will not last much longer.

Through visits from several missionaries to the Mountainview area, and my pastor here I am now convinced that the vision for the orphan village is not coming to fruition any time soon.  It seems that GOD is allowing this and I trust and know that HE has the perfect timing and plans for these children. It has however been a painful time of realization that the time is just now.  It has been almost 5 years of working out in Mountainview sharing the GREAT NEWS of JESUS CHRIST with the children and people there.  Many doors have opened to me but have also slammed shut!  I will be coming back to the USA in March to sort out a Drivers License renewal problem, visit my family and seek counsel. Please pray with me on what steps I should continue to take in Mountainview.

           Blessings and Love,
           Jan Pane

November Newsletter, Number 40, November 24, 2012

Dear Family and Friends,

JOHANNESBURG GENERAL : Sitting by the hospital bed of a young man praying for GOD to heal him but seeing the body and knowing that unless GOD does a miracle, he will go home very soon.  This is one real picture of why I came to serve JESUS CHRIST here in South Africa.

Seeing the devastation that all the death has created 3.87 million (newest stats) orphans here in SA. I believed that GOD wanted these orphaned children to be in families that would provide them with a second chance.  GOD sets the solitary into families Psalm 68:6a. Only HE is the one that opens the doors.  Oh, we can push and we can manipulate and we can make it look like it is coming together but only GOD can do it right, in HIS time and in HIS way.

Many, many doors have cracked open and then slammed shut.  It has been discouraging but I continue to walk forward, seeking HIM and asking for guidance.  Please come along side and pray with me.

The Ninety-nine and One from the outreach two weeks ago!

MOUNTAINVIEW:  On Saturday we had out last outreach for the year.  Kids are out of school soon and most of the children from CCCCC will go home to be with a distant relative for 5 weeks.  Then in middle of January the new school year will begin. At this outreach, we had about 500 children. We had planned to show the Children’s JESUS Film but sadly, due to poor electrical connections and temperatures of about 90 degrees, the children became uncontrollable and hungry. The principal called me and told me to stop trying to get the movie working and feed the children.  We got the children to line up outside and I was able to give the gospel and pray for the food.  Each child received the WORD and some food.  The LORD stretched the food.  Thank you JESUS!

We will make a plan to show the movie when it gets a bit cooler. Pro 16:9- A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his  steps.

CALVARY CHAPEL JOHANNESBURG :  I was asked to do the Childrens’ Christmas Play this year .We will do “The Gift”,  a sweet depiction of the meaning of Christmas.  This time of year many families travel for the holidays. We will lose about half of our children but it will leave enough for actors and a choir! As it turns out, I will be the grandmother in the play! I wanted another granny to do it but she is stage shy J Practice has begun and we will perform it on December 23rd.  I am praying that GOD will bless the children and their families.

METHODIST CHURCH:I was given the opportunity to share with the Women’s Auxillary from one of the local Methodist Churches.  These women have been serving the LORD for so many years and I came to encourage them and left encouraged. Even in their late 80’s and 90’s they are still praying, knitting and giving to the neediest children.  They had so much to share with me.  I thank GOD for these lovely women.

Blessings and love,
Jan

Special Note:  The young man that I have been praying for, Ben,  went to be with JESUS yesterday.  He was full of hope and dreams, worked hard to pass his matrix (H.S.) and a great help to the M.V.Outreaches. He will be remembered and missed. Please pray for his younger brother, also an orphan living in Fine town, next to Mountainview.

Please pray for:
·      LORD to bring HIS laborers to Mountainview, including an indigenous Pastor
·      GOD’S plans for Mountainview to come to fruition
·      Counsellor to be guided by GOD
·      CC Johannesburg Christmas Play
·      For me to keep my eyes on JESUS and my heart teachable.
